Founding Director
Jane D. Kaplan is a founding director of Reynolds, Rappaport & Kaplan, LLC. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she attended Wellesley College for one year, but then transferred to Yale University when it opened its doors to women. Before moving to the Vineyard in 1985, she was an associate and then a junior partner at the firm of Hale & Dorr in Boston.
Community Involvement:
Ms. Kaplan has been active in community life on Martha’s Vineyard. She has served on the Board of Directors of Martha’s Vineyard Community Services. She also served on the Tisbury School Building Committee and the Chilmark Building Committee during renovations and new construction at both schools, and on the Tisbury School Committee.
Personal:
Ms. Kaplan, was born in Boston, Massachusetts. She now makes her home in Chilmark with her husband, attorney Ronald Rappaport. They have one grown daughter, Julia. At the present time Ms. Kaplan is not actively practicing.
