James F. Reynolds is a founding director of Reynolds, Rappaport, Kaplan & Hackney, LLC and has more than thirty years of experience in the areas of real estate law, probate law and municipal law. He is known for his detailed analysis of complicated title matters and has served as Land Court examiner on numerous cases. For the past several years he has specialized his practice in representing sellers and buyers active in the high-end residential real estate market on Martha’s Vineyard, with particular emphasis on providing attentive, thorough service to his clients.
 
Mr. Reynolds has attained the highest rating established by Martindale-Hubbell’s Law Directory. This rating is only given to lawyers and law firms who are recognized for the highest levels of skill and integrity.

Community Involvement:

Mr. Reynolds complements his legal practice with involvement in a number of community organizations. He served on the Board of Directors of the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital for more than eighteen years. He has also served on the boards of various Vineyard conservation organizations, and has coached youth teams in several different sports. He volunteers on a regular basis for the Island Food Pantry and is a director of the Farm Neck Foundation, a charitable foundation.

Personal:

A native of Worcester, Massachusetts, Mr. Reynolds moved to Martha’s Vineyard in 1976. His wife, Barbara Weintraub Reynolds, is a teacher in the Edgartown School system. They have two grown children, Alex and Liza.  Mr. Reynolds is an avid gardener and cyclist and enjoys playing golf and skiing.
